Rendered in the most sumptuous coral silk satin, this original vintage 1930s gown and matching bolero, is a rare set to behold.
The V shaped neckline of the gown, is framed by medium width shoulder straps, which gather in subtle pleats along the shoulder seams which are in turn, decorated with soft satin tied bows. The elegant pleated yokes, frame the central gathered smocking stitch décolletage designed in a stylised bow, which gathers the silk satin in subtle pleats along the bust-line. The elegant line of the bodice, is accented by a simple fitted waist panel. Finished with a timeless bias cut draped skirt. which skims the silhouette and drapes elegantly to the hemline, showcasing the magnificent silk satin.
The back of the dress features a V shaped back-line, which draws in centrally along the matching covered satin button and loops fastenings.
The wonderful matching bolero, boasts a deep V shaped neckline, which draws in along the hemline with a satin bow. The elegant shoulder line is set off by gathered smocking stitches along either side of the neckline, which allow for the satin to drape in pleats along either side of the front of the jacket. The short length sleeves, feature a gathered tiered design, which sets off the puff silhouette, whilst showcasing the delicate scattered silver beadwork. The sleeves are lined in coral coloured rayon to aid in the structure and design. The bolero draws in along the hemline, completing this ensemble in a truly iconic Art Deco silhouette.

Closures: This dress fastens with 14 button loop fastenings along the central part of the back and a concealed press stud. The jacket fastens with a satin bow
Condition: The dress is in near perfect vintage condition. Two very small faint marks along the front of the skirt-line, these are well concealed within the drape and not apparent when the dress is being worn. A few very gentle wear marks along the hemline of the dress, again these are well concealed by the drape and only apparent upon close inspection. Gentle and subtle discolouration along the armpit seams. The Bolero is in perfect vintage condition. Please refer to the photographs, as they form part of the condition report.
