This breathtaking 1930's gold satin dress, is a rare piece to behold and never again find.
Her wonderful wide neckline, is framed by a shawl collar, that gathers in pleats along the shoulder seams, allowing for the collar to drape along the décolletage and backline, as it joins the central seam of the bodice . Her fitted bodice, is accented by the central seam that gathers the satin in elegant pleats that radiate to either side of the bust-line and bodice. Her cinched in waistline, sets off the wonderful full circle and bias cut of the skirt, that drapes elegantly, creating a timeless 1930's silhouette.

Condition: This dress is in good/well loved vintage condition. Light and natural areas of light foxing and faint age marks along the hemline, with one more noticeable mark along the centre back of the hemline. Some light areas of wear to the satin along the skirt, two small pin sized holes along the back of the skirt line. Two small mends along the side seam of the bodice. A small area of wear to the satin along the right hand side of the bust-line, this is well concealed within the pleats. Light foxing to the satin in the bodice. Light discolouration to the satin along the armpits. These minor issues are not apparent when the dress is being worn as the nature of the satin conceals the imperfections. perfect vintage condition. With some light and natural tarnishing to the metal lamé thread, and some light thread raising. These only noticeable under close inspection.
