"Coloured Peplum" Vintage 1940's Crepe Silk Peplum Blouse UK 8-10 US 4-6

This 1940's crepe silk blouse in a chocolate brown, with gold braiding trim, and coloured blocking in aqua green and yellow, is the perfect piece to add to your vintage wardrobe.

Her rounded collared neckline, fastens to the front in a simple tie, with pointed edges. Her full length bishop sleeves, are edged with slim turned up cuffs and a fitted waistline, setting off the side pleats of the bishop cut. Her fitted bodice, is accented by Princess seams, that frame the matching covered button fastenings. Her cinched in waistline, is set off by the peplum cut hemline, edged with coloured crepe silk panels, and gold and brown braiding, creating an eye catching and iconic peplum silhouette.

Condition: This blouse is in near perfect vintage condition. Some very light colour variation to the crepe silk along the shoulders, and beneath the armpits. two small age marks to the front right hand side peplum. These minor issues are not apparent when the blouse is being worn, and only noticeable under closer inspection.

Washing instructions: This garment should be dry cleaned or hand washed in cool water.
