This truly iconic 1950's western suit, rendered in a bold cobalt blue gabardine with white suede accents, is a true piece of fashion history. This piece belonged to Nettie Rogers, Part of the musical duo, husband and wife Johnny Dennis & Nettie Rogers showcased their musical talents in Las Vegas in the 1950's and 1960's. They were one of the opening acts for Elvis Presley at the Dunes hotel, a high accolade indeed .
The rounded neckline of the shirt is framed by a pointed collar, decorated with trailing suede appliqués. The simple shoulder line, is decorated with trailing suede appliqués that adorn the yokes and bust-line, edged with matching suede fringing. The suede contours the backline of the shirt. The full length sleeves are edged with wide cuffs, which are finished with 3 pearlescent button press studs, and suede fringing along each external side of the cuffs. The fitted cut of the shirt, boasts central pearlescent press stud fastenings drawing the eye to the tailored darts and cinched in waistline. The overlocked hemline of the blouse is constructed to be tucked into the matching trousers.
The matching trousers are accented by a fitted waistline, which boasts belt loops with pointed dagger edges along the front and back of the waist. The fitted hipline is set off by two front pockets, edged with suede pipping and pearlescent press stud fastenings. The high rise set off the straight line cut, completing this suit in an iconic 1950's western silhouette. .

Condition: In good but not perfect vintage . Very gentle colour variation along the armpits of the shirt. Speckled marks along the suede accents, these appear to be a very pale shade of pink Gentle and natural wear to the suede. Very faint colour variation along the left hand side cuff . Gentle wear to the suede along the pipped edges of the pockets of the trousers. These minor details are not apparent when the suit is being worn and only noticeable upon closer inspection.
