This vibrant 1950's Horrockses dress in a bold shade of chartreuse yellow with a black coloured linear and abstract polkadot pattern, is just the piece for your every day wardrobe.
The sweetheart neckline of the dress, is framed by a bold black silk border, with detailed pleats to either side of the front of the décolletage. The simple shoulder line sets off the 3/4 length sleeves. The fitted and boned bodice draws the eye to the pleated and gathered bust-line in a sweetheart design. The cinched in waistline, sets off the elegant drape of the skirt, completing this dress in an iconic 1950's silhouette. Finished with pleated gathers along joining black silk and cotton panels along the backline of the dress.

Condition: This dress is in good but not perfect vintage condition. The dress appears to have been taken out as the black panel details do not appear to be an original design detail. Impression marks along each armpit from the black silk panels. This dress has been modified at some point in its life and is still in very wearable and strong condition. These minor details are not apparent when the dress is being worn and not noticeable to the untrained eyed Please refer to the photographs as they form part of the condition report.
