This original late 1940's dress, made in the most sumptuous shade of chartreuse green silk chiffon and embellished with gold sequins and glass bugle beads, is the perfect piece for your special occasion wardrobe.
Her V shaped neckline is framed by silk shoulder straps embellished with beadwork and sequins, that join the top of the fully embellished bust-line. Her fitted boned bodice is accent by gathered pleats that cross over along the front. Her cinched in waist-line, sets off the wonderful drape of the silk chiffon, which gathers in pleats to either side of the hipline beneath sequin and beaded embellished panels. Condition: This dress is in near perfect vintage condition. A hole to the silk chiffon skirt to the centre just below the hipline. Some scattered pin holes to the silk chiffon and light scattered age marks along the hemline. Very small age mark along the left hand side just below the waistline. These minor issues are not overly apparent when the dress is being worn, and only noticeable upon inspection.
Fastenings: This dress fastens at the back with an 14.5 inch metal zip and a hook and loop
