This rare 1940's IIOII ration dress in a wonderful brown wool with chartreuse green plaid accents, is the perfect piece for your seasonal wardrobe.
Her square shaped neckline, is framed by a chartreuse green and plaid waffled coffin collar , decorated with three matching covered buttons along each shoulder. The collar is sewn in panels to either side of the centre of the bodice, joining the cinched in waistline, and finishing along the front of hipline in two decorative sashes. Her shoulder line is accented by internal shoulder pads, that accent the 3/4 length sleeves with turned up cuffs. Her timeless skirt boasts inverted pleats along the centre front and centre back of the skirt

Closures: This dress fastens along the back of the neckline with a 7.5 inch metal zip and to the side with a 7.5 inch metal zip.
Condition: This dress is in near vintage condition. Three very small darns to the front left hand side of the skirt just beneath the sash. A small pin sized hole to the back of the collar along the shoulder line. A small sympathetic darn to the front of the neckline and a light area of wear to the wool. Three small pulls to the waffled plaid fabric along the front of the right hand side skirt sash. These minor issues are in no way apparent when the dress is being worn. Washing instructions: This garment should be dry cleaned or hand washed in cool water.
