Rendered in the softest embroidered lace on a tulle base in a timeless shade of cerulean blue, this original 1940's dress is a rare piece to behold.
The V shaped neckline, is framed by a simple shoulder line, accented by pleating along each yoke, which draw in along the smocking stitches, which create subtle pleats along either side of the bust-line and décolletage. The short length inset sleeves, boasts gathers along each seam, creating soft pleats and rounded edges. The fitted bodice, draws the eye to the cinched in waistline. The elegant skirt, boasts a panel cut, which creates elegant drape, accented by the wide cut of the hemline. The back of the bodice features gathered pleats along the centre waist seam, which radiate upwards, completing this dress in an iconic and timeless 1940's silhouette.
This dress is sheer, and may need to be worn with a dress slip to conceal ones modesty.
