"Bright Carnations" Vintage 1940's Floral Carnation Print Dress UK 12-14 US 8-10
This breathtaking 1940's black silk dress with a novelty print of brightly coloured carnations, in shades of pink and green, is the perfect addition to your vintage wardrobe.
Her rounded neckline is framed by short sleeves, and shoulder pads along each shoulder seam. Her elegant bodice boasts single pleats along each yoke. Her cinched in waistline, is drawn in by a green rayon waist sash, that fastens with a buckle to the back of the dress, and is decorated with a wonderful side disk loop and sash to the side of the waist. . Her simple skirt, completes this dress and creates an iconic 1940's silhouette.

Closures: This dress fastens to the side with a 12 inch metal zip, and to the back of the neckline with a 7 inch metal zip.
Condition: This dress is in near perfect vintage condition. Light and scattered age marks to the dress, these are well concealed within the floral pattern.The green sash belt has age related discolouration throughout, and the fabric covered buckle has worn thin, shows sign of use with some holes to the rayon. These minor issues are not apparent when the dress is being worn, and only noticeable upon inspection. I would recommend changing the buckle of the waist belt.
