This truly mesmerising 1950's couture dress, rendered in a sumptuous black satin and accented by angular pointed seams, is just the piece to add to your timeless capsule collection.
The bateau neckline of the dress is framed my medium shoulder straps and a sleeveless cut. The fitted bodice is accented by double darts that radiate from either side of the front of the waistline to beneath the bust-line. The cinched in waistline, sets off the full circle cut of the skirt, which boasts pointed seam details, which create wide pleats that radiate long the skirt. Photographed here with a medium petticoat for added volume, which is not included with the listing. The dress is lined in silk organza along the bodice and boasts an internal faille waist cincher which fastens with a hook and eye.
