This incredibly tailored black velvet Late 1940's jacket, with perfectly embellished embroidered accents contrasting the deep velvet, is a rare piece to behold and never find again.
Her mandarin styled collar is framed by a strong shoulder line, accented by internal shoulder pads. Her full length sleeves are finished with small hook and loop fastenings along each cuff. Her fitted bodice, is set off by embroidery along the front left hand side yoke and shoulder blade, in a stylised diamond and tassel pattern. Her matching velvet covered buttons, draw the eye to the cinched in waistline, which is accentuated by a matching velvet belt. The asymmetrical cut of the jacket boasts a short peplum cut along the left hand side, which in turn is decorated with matching embroidery to the front and back of the jacket, to that along the yoke. Her right hand side boasts a longline cut in deep black velvet. .
This jacket is not lined.
