This wonderful 1940's day dress in shades of peach, green, purple and black, in a wonderful abstract brushstroke design, is the perfect piece for your everyday wardrobe.
Her straight cut neckline boasts small cowl pleats, that radiate from the left hand side shoulder line, where 5 sewn pleats begin the pleats. The strong shoulder line is accented by large internally sewn shoulder pads, that set off the short capped sleeves, edges with black turned up pointed cuffs. The elegant bodice, draws in along the waist-line with a matching fabric belt that gathers to the side of the waist in a sash like detail, as one side of the belt panels joins the front of the skirt, in a cross detail. The elegant panelled skirt, completes this dress in an iconic silhouette.

Closures: This dress fastens to the side with a 9 inch metal zip and two button and loop fastenings along the nape.
Condition: This dress is well loved vintage condition. There is a dark age mark to the centre front of the bodice. A darker age mark to the right hand side of the bodice beneath the bust-line. A few scattered age marks to the bodice. Light colour variation along the armpits. A few small pin sized holes to the skirt. Some colour fading in areas, where the colours appear lighter or faded. This is more apparent along the back of the bodice . These issues are well concealed within the abstract print, and are not noticeable when the dress is being worn, but apparent upon inspection. This dress has been priced accordingly. Three Small darns along the right hand side front of the hemline. These are well concealed within the floral print and only apparent under very close inspection.
Washing instructions: This garment should be dry cleaned or hand washed in cool water.
