"A Love for Reading" Vintage 1940's Lovely Book Print Rayon Jersey Dress UK 12-14 US 8-10
This breathtaking 1940's bright yellow rayon jersey novelty print dress with a pattern of open books with flowers and animals on the pages, is a rare piece to behold and never again find.
Her V shaped neckline is framed by double seams that run from the shoulder line and contour the décolletage. Her short length sleeves are accented by central seams that gather the top of the sleeves in small pleats.
Her fitted bodice, draws the eye to the cinched in waistline. Her elegant skirt line, boasts a double layered peplum feature, that sets off the incredible drape and silhouette of this incredible piece.

Closures: This dress fastens to the side with a 10 inch metal zip
Condition: This dress is in good vintage condition. A few scattered and very small pin sized holes alone the front right hand side of the décolletage, and a few along the left hand side yoke. Very light discolouration and colour bleed to the fabric along the armpits . A seam mend along the back left hand side of the waistline. These minor issues are not apparent when the dress is being worn and only noticeable under close inspection
