"Soft Pink Lilli Ann" Vintage 1940's Rare Soft Pink Lilli Ann Skirt Suit UK 12 US 8

A rare piece to behold and never again find. This 1940's soft pink Lilli Ann skirt suit, in a classic silhouette, is perfect for work or play.

Her small dog ear collar is framed by wide shoulder pads along the shoulder seams, and 2 matching pleats along the yokes. Her full length sleeves frame the fitted bodice, and cinched in waistline, drawn in by a bold gold twisted detailed button, with an amethyst rhinestone centre. Her elegant cut, iconic of Lilli Anns in the 1940's accents below the waistline, creating a slight peplum in the structure. The back of the jacket features gathered pleats accenting the silhouette.
The tailored skirt features a simple waistband and flared cut, with seamed details along the front, creating an iconic silhouette as is sits below the jacket.
The skirt is unlined and the jacket is lined in satin

Condition: This suit is in near perfect vintage condition
3 small pin sized age marks along the front left hand side of the jacket. Some very light colour variation to the wool, this is due to prolonged exposure in the sunlight. A small impression mark where a press stud was once sewn along the waistline. A small pin size on the back right hand side of the jacket.
Condition of the skirt: a few very light areas of wear to the knit near the bottom part of the skirt where the fabric was worn thin. The lining of the skirt conceals these with the backing, when it is worn.

These minor issues are not apparent when the suit is being worn, and only visible under very close inspection
