"Trailing Beaded Roses" Vintage 1930's Blue Silk Beaded Dress UK 10-12 US 6-8

This breathtaking 1930's blue silk gown, embellished with clear glass bugle beads in a trailing floral pattern, is a rare piece to behold and never again find.

Her V shaped neckline is framed by wide shoulder straps, with smocking stitches along each shoulder, that drape into pleats along each yoke. Her elegant bodice, is decorated with a border of trailing roses, that guide the eye-line to the curved seam work that radiates downward from the waistline, and is in turn decorated with trailing floral beadwork. The pointed central seam, sets off the incredible panelled skirt, that drapes in an iconic 1930's style.
The backline mimics the front of the dress in a V shape, framed with floral beadwork. The rounded waist seams curve along the back of the dress, and are in turn framed by floral trailing beadwork, setting off the cut of the skirt.
This dress has her original silk slip.

Vintage garments have been previously worn and lovingly cared for, they may however have a blemish or two. Here at Willow Hilson, we try our very best to note all the details of each garment, although we may sometimes overlook things, which we do apologise for. Please do not expect perfection, unless stated so.

Please make sure you check all the measurements of the garment before purchasing. Vintage garment sizes are not the same as those of today. To ensure the best fit, we suggest you measure you favourite similar style garment and compare it to the measurements we have listed. All our measurements are taken whilst the garment is lying flat, we then double these measurements to reflect the actual size.
