"Nautical" Vintage 1950's French Blue Striped Horrockses Dress UK 10

Made in the most beautiful cotton, in a striped French blue and white pattern, this original 1950's Horrockses dress is perfect for your vintage summer wardrobe.

Her square neckline is framed by pleats along the shoulders, drawn in by adjustable bows to each side, that create a stylised wider short sleeve, that can be adjusted to the style desired. Her fitted bodice is accented by a button down front, drawing the eye to the cinched in waistline, drawn in by a fabric bow to the back.
Her illusion dropped waistline is set off by the small gathers along the top of the skirt, creating an iconic 1950's silhouette

Closures: This dress fastens to the side with a 10 inch plastic zip, and to the front with 4 buttons

Condition: This dress is in near perfect vintage condition, with some very faint yellowing along the back of the neckline, 3 small pin marks that appear as pin sized rust marks hidden within the shoulder pleats and drape of the skirt, some vary light colour variation to the cotton due to natural wear. This minor issues are not apparent when the dress is being worn.

Washing instructions: This garment should be dry cleaned or hand washed in cool water.
