"Evergreen" Vintage 1930's Green Crepe Silk Fringed Dress
This beautiful 1930's green crepe silk dress is a rare piece to behold and never again find.
Her deep V cross over neckline is framed by gathers along the bust line, drawn in my matching sewn down loops to the top of each shoulder. Her sleeveless cut is accented by the most incredible green fringing, knotted into the dress in tiers, creating the illusion of short sleeves, while adding beautiful movement to the dress. Her cross over style neckline, is drawn in to the side with a side loop fastening, that wraps around the front of the dress and fastens to the back in a bow, cinching in the waistline. Her elegant bias cut skirting skims to the bodice, in an iconic 1930's fashion.

Condition: This dress is in loved vintage condition. She has some areas of sun fade to the crepe silk, these appear as lighter coloured areas throughout the dress. There are 2 more noticeable light fade marks that appear more yellow. The dress has had some reconstruction along the shoulders, and the looped areas on each shoulders conceal and strengthen the previous weak silk. This has been lovingly and sympathetically restored. These issues are not overly visible when the dress is being worn, we feel that the overall beauty and incredible design deter from them. Please use the photos as a condition report reference.
Washing instructions: This garment should be dry cleaned or hand washed in cool water.
Fabric: Crepe Silk, Fringing
Vintage garments have been previously worn and lovingly cared for, they may however have a blemish or two. Here at Willow Hilson, we try our very best to note all the details of each garment, although we may sometimes overlook things, which we do apologise for. Please do not expect perfection, unless stated so.
Please make sure you check all the measurements of the garment before purchasing. Vintage garment sizes are not the same as those of today. To ensure the best fit, we suggest you measure you favourite similar style garment and compare it to the measurements we have listed. All our measurements are taken whilst the garment is lying flat, we then double these measurements to reflect the actual size.
