This wonderful 1930's cream rayon blouse, accented by a quilted panel and smocking stitches, is the perfect addition to your vintage collection.
The rounded neckline of the blouse is framed by a pointed collar which draws together with a simple hook and eye above a key hole feature. The elegant shoulder line is accented by gathered smocking stitches which allow for the rayon to drape in pleats along each of the yokes. The shoulders boast internal pads along each sleeve seam, which set off the pleats along the top of each full length sleeve. The fitted cuffs of the blouse draw in with simple hook and loop fastenings. The elegant cut is accented by a pointed quilted panel which sits beneath the bust line, and sets off the gathered smocking stitches along the base of the bust, creating soft pleats which join those from each shoulder line. The diamond shaped panel of the bodice, draws in along the back with the aid of matching rayon ribbon ties, which fasten along the backline in a bow. Finished with a bias cut and gentle flared hemline.

Closures: This blouse fastens along the side seam with 7 press studs, and along the front of the neckline with a hook and eye.
Condition: This blouse is good but not perfect vintage condition. A small age mark along the front left hand side of the neckline just above the eye fastening. Some gentle surface scratches to the cream rayon throughout. Two small pin holes to the front right hand side of the hemline. Light and gentle linear foxing along the top of the right hand side sleeve. Two small holes along the back right hand side shoulder blade. Four small pin holes along the back of the right hand side shoulder seam beneath the smocking stitch details . Gentle linear foxing marks to the left hand side sleeve, and a small pin hole along the top of the left hand side sleeves. These details are not overly apparent when the blouse is being worn and well concealed by the cut and sheen of the cream rayon.
